Man gets probation for dirty diaper theft

An Amherst man has been sentenced to 30 months probation after trying to steal dirty diapers from a Portage County home last September.

According to the criminal complaint 20-year-old Dillon Makuski entered a home he believed may have dirty diapers, after he didn't find any in the homes garbage cans.



Makuski was confronted by the home's owner during the intrusion. The homeowner tackled Makuski to the ground and held him there until police arrived.

When Officers asked Makuski if his intent was to steal dirty diaper, he said "Yes." During his arrest, six dirty diapers were discovered in his pockets, he was also wearing a large diaper. Makuski must also undergo a psycho-sexual examination and serve 200 hours of community service.
