The new body responsible for the administration of libraries has been criticised for a spelling error which led to 8,000 brochures being pulped.
The booklet, produced by Libraries NI, advertised events during December, with the headline 'Decmeber Events'. The authority has admitted that the error cost the taxpayer £710.
A spokesperson for Libraries NI said the mistake was "regrettable" and it would work to ensure that such an error was not made again.
SDLP MLA Dominic Bradley said it was "ironic" that a body charged with supporting better literacy had made a "glaring" error.
"Apparently the publication has been withdrawn and will be reprinted," Mr Bradley said.
"I sincerely hope that the additional cost of reprinting the brochure will not be met out of public money."
