Nightclub entrance costs $1000

A disgruntled Australian reveller who grabbed his genitals and pumped his pelvis at a female manager before mooning security staff as he tried to enter a nightclub has been fined $1000.

Ashley Lee English, 23, was already banned from Rumors Nightclub when he arrived in a drunken state at 1.50am on January 30 and tried to get in, Innisfail Magistrate’s Court heard yesterday.



After yelling abuse at the manager and racial slurs at security staff, he held his genitals and performed a pelvic thrust in the manager’s direction, Prosecutor Lisa Buchanan told the court.

"Then he turned his back to security, dropped his pants and exposed his buttocks," she said. English was fined $1000 after pleading guilty to a public nuisance charge.
