Dad attacks family over lip piercing

An Indianapolis father is facing attempted murder charges after police say he stabbed his wife and 17-year-old daughter because his 15-year-old got her lip pierced. Police were called out to the 100 block of North Harbison Avenue at around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to police, 41-year-old Keith Hone attacked his wife, 36-year-old Crystal Hone, and their two daughters all because he was upset over the piercing. Moments after the attack, the three victims ran to a neighbour's home and asked for help.

Sandra Grey, 73, called 9-1-1 while her husband looked after them. "The mother had been stabbed and the daughter had a steak knife in her back. (Crystal) was worried about the girls and she had a stab wound by a big knife in her back. And she was bleeding a lot," said Grey.

When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found Crystal Hone suffering from a stab wound in her left shoulder, her 17-year-old daughter had a knife impaled in her right shoulder and the 15-year-old daughter had been hit in the face and had a possible broken nose. All three victims were taken to Wishard Hospital. Crystal Hone is listed in good condition. Since the daughters are minors, information about their condition is not being released. Keith Hone turned himself into police.
