There was almost a sausage down during the Klement's Racing Sausages relay race. The sausage was racing down Layton Avenue, Milwaukee, when it collided with a police motorcycle that was acting as an escort.
The Italian sausage wasn't hurt except for it's pride. The sausage was able to finish his leg of the relay.
