Schoolboy thrown out of class for having bum fluff growing on chin

You can barely see it, but this wispy bit of hair on Sam Taubman's chin got him thrown out of class. The shocked 15-year-old was told the adolescent fluff was "inappropriate" and against school rules.

But Sam branded the move unfair and insisted: "I never had any warning." His furious mum Jacqueline Kent added: "He was just dragged out of his class. He was put in isolation."



Sam was thrown out of an English lesson and banished to another classroom for two days after breaching strict rules on uniform and appearance at Sacred Heart Catholic College in Crosby, Liverpool.

Head Ian Walker defended the decision. He said: "The college has high standards in all that it does. We set great store by our policy on uniform and appearance. Sam found himself at odds with that policy, but the matter was resolved."
